Royal Opera House: The Sleeping Beauty
The Resting Elegance holds an unique area in The Royal Dancing's repertory. It was the ballet with which the Business resumed the Royal Opera House in 1946 after The Second World War, its initial production at its brand-new home in Covent Garden. Margot Fonteyn danced the duty of the beautiful Princess Aurora in the first performance, with Robert Helpmann as Prince Florimund. Sixty years later, in 2006, the original 1946 hosting was revitalized already Supervisor of The Royal Dancing Monica Mason and also Christopher Newton, returning Oliver Messel's remarkable styles as well as flashing costumes to the stage.
